The Haryana Government has launched the Crop Diversification Scheme 2026 to encourage farmers to shift from paddy cultivation toward crops that require less water. The main objective of this scheme is to conserve groundwater and increase farmers’ income by promoting alternative crops such as maize, moong, urad, and arhar.
Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to eligible farmers on a per-acre basis. Farmers cultivating maize will receive ₹3000 per acre, while those growing pulse crops like moong, urad, and arhar will receive ₹3600 per acre as incentive support.
Farmers who wish to take advantage of this scheme must complete the online registration process through the official portal of the Agriculture Department Haryana
